Abstract
The artical disusses approaches to and terms for disparities in conversation: (a)symmetry, dominance, power, and hierarchy which to date have occasionally been used synonymouslt and inconsistently. An overview of the academic discussion is followed by an empirical analysis, which serves to formulate criticism of surrent approaches and first suggestions for a more consistence of terms.
